Through the atoning sacrifice and example of my Savior, Jesus Christ, I have found deep solace and lasting peace. His healing power has touched my life personally and profoundly, especially during sorrow, loss, and uncertainty. As I have turned my heart to Him and sought to follow His path, I have discovered a more profound beauty in the people around me and the wonders of our world.
As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, my faith is anchored in Jesus Christ’s transformative teachings. His gospel brings light to dark places and purpose to the storms we face.
I deeply respect people of all faiths and the truths they carry. While preparing for body recovery operations in Japan after the devastating tsunami, I visited an ancient Buddhist temple in Tokyo and watched people offering prayers for their departed loved ones. I was moved by their reverence and sincerity and felt a spiritual kinship in that moment, recognizing that divine light shines through many traditions and cultures.
True spirituality is rooted in kindness, tolerance, and a desire to lift others. We are meant to reach up to God, reach out to one another, and recognize that we are all part of an eternal family.
My faith is built on personal revelation. I believe God speaks to His children through prayer, scripture, and the quiet whisperings of the Spirit. As we strive to keep His commandments, honor our covenants, and serve with love, we invite His presence and protection into our lives.
I testify of the power of the Priesthood, which binds us to heaven, our families, and our eternal journey of growth. I love my Heavenly Father and my Savior, Jesus Christ, with all my heart. It is through them that I find hope, purpose, and peace.
